A successful team of professional snowboarders are helping to put Forum Snowboards on the map

The folks at the Forum Snowboard Company spend most of their time designing, manufacturing, and selling snowboards, boots, bindings and various other snowboard paraphernalia. In addition to all this, Forum Snowboards also makes time to sponsor a team of professional snowboarders, all of whom participate in numerous national and international events and competitions, carrying the Forum Snowboard logo and equipment all across the world.

One promising young star of the Forum Snowboards Youngblood and Foursquare Amateur team is 17-year-old team rider Jake Blauvelt. Blauvelt, a native of Vermont, has participated in and won several large snowboarding competitions under his Forum Snowboards sponsorship. This past spring, 2004, Blauvelt of the Forum Snowboard team won the "Quarterpipe Best Trick" title at the Abominable Snow Jam. Blauvelt also recently won the 2004 Phillips US Open in Stratton Vermont, for which he received a $20,000 prize.

Forum Snowboards has other, more seasoned and internationally based team riders, such as Lauri Heiskari and Joni Malmi, both of which are professional snowboarders originally from Helsinki. Travis Kennedy is another Forum Snowboard team rider. Last May 15, 2004, Kennedy won "Zone One" at the Delta Center competition in Salt Lake City, bringing home yet another victory for Forum Snowboards.

The team at Forum Snowboards participates in snowboarding competitions throughout various locations, but this past year Forum Snowboards also hosted its very own contest. The Forum Snowboards competition, which was held last March, 2004 in Big Bear Lake, featured some of the world's best up-and-coming snowboarders, including some of Forum Snowboards' very own, of course.
