Twenty five years of innovative history are behind Vision Snowboards trend setting style

Common is the story of the actor who is an "overnight success", when, in fact, the actor has been around for some time and already did his apprenticeship - it's just that you were not aware of it. Well, if you were under the impression that Vision Snowboards were a recent entrant into the field of snowboard manufacturing you'd be guilty of making the same mistake as that made in the "overnight" success story. The fact of the matter is, it has taken all of Vision's 25 years of innovative experience to come up with such great new products.

Vision Snowboards - The early years

The Vision range of products is the result of one man's desire to set excellence as the bench-mark in extreme sport equipment. That man is Brad Dorfman - and he originally established Vision Skateboards in the 1970s. Once he had developed a new brand of innovative skateboards, Brad then moved his talents on to designing and manufacturing protective clothing for people who enjoy extreme sports - but understand the need for safety.

Vision Snowboards are born with Vision sports

Following the success of Brad's Vision skateboards and protective clothing line, in the mid-1980s Brad met a man called Paul Schmitt. Brad persuaded Paul to come and work for him at Vision Sports and together they made Vision Sports a multi-million dollar success story.

Vision Snowboards are all the rage

Following a worldwide recession in skateboard products in the mid-1980s, Vision sports decided to launch the Vision Snowboard. Initial sales of these snowboards were intended for use in the Southern California Mountains; but their immediate success on these trend-setting slopes, and a general upturn in extreme sports, which rebounded Vision sport's fortunes, meant that the Vision Snowboard was here to stay.
