Lots of young trendy snowboarders out there don't particularly like them - they're seen as making you look a bit square and dorky, but when it comes to safety, a snowboard helmet is a must!
Anyone who does any extreme sport, from skateboarding - to roller-skating
- to snowboarding is going to tell you that every now and then accidents
do happen. But, do you realize the speeds that can be accomplished
in snowboarding?
Not wearing a snowboard helmet would be the same as not wearing
a helmet on a motorbike, and I think we all know what the dangers
of that are! So, if you want to keep your brains in your head this
year, make sure you have a helmet on.
Just because you may be new to this game of snowboarding, that
doesn't mean that you can get away with not wearing a helmet. In
fact, the fact that you're new to the game is most probably more
reason for you to be wearing a helmet, at least until you've learned
how the game works.
However, even after you've learned how to snowboard a little, it's
best that you carry-on with the good practice of wearing one.
So, don't be a fool on the slopes this year - make sure you wear a snowboard helmet. And remember, some slopes won't allow you to go up if you're not willing to wear a helmet: the chances of you hurting yourself are just too great! So, wearing a snowboard helmet may not only save your dorky life, it could also save you the time and trouble of going to slopes and being turned away.
