The Atlas Snow-Shoe company was established in 1990 in San Francisco, California. The company's mission statement is a simple enough one, to revolutionize snow-shoeing. Now, a mere 14 years later, the company's initial mission statement has come to fruition with over 13 patents to its credit.

company has already had its innovation in snowshoe manufacturing
recognized by its peers. A further reason for selecting Atlas Snowshoes

Atlas Snowshoes come in three basic categories
The Atlas 7 and 8 Series shoe fall within the Trial Adventure category and are used for walking and hiking.
The Atlas 10 and 12 Series shoe are within the All Terrain and are used as their name suggests - for all terrain.
Finally, the Dual-Trac and Dual-Trac SL Series are within the Trail Running shoe product range.
In sum, the more experienced you become, the more need you have to move up the Atlas Snowshoe series range: starting with the series 7 and graduating to the Trial Running shoes series. However, be warned, with more experience comes more need, which means the Atlas Trial Running shoes are going to be a little more expensive than the Atlas 7 series.
