Arguably one of the most recognizable brands in snowboarding, Burton Snowboards, the first such factory of its kind, was founded in 1977 by Jake Burton. In the intervening years the company has grown from strength to strength and in the process incorporated a whole slew of snowboarding-related products into its range. Among them are of course boots, and one can now find a host of youth, womens, and mens burton snowboard boots suitable for every budget and need.
In terms of Burton men's boots, there are two choices available, soft boots and step-ins. The latter offers only the Haven SI and Moto SI products, while the former provides customers with a bevy of choice. The full breakdown (ordered from highest to lowest price) of Burton men's snowboard boots is as follows:
The SL-7 represents the top-end of the men’s Burton boot line. But with a price tag in the region of $380, it's only for the most discriminating of freestyle riders. It is available only in Black/Silver and in sizes from seven to thirteen. Utilizing lightweight leather it incorporates an articulating cuff design and Powershell TPU panels. At the opposite end of the spectrum lies the Tribute, a cheap snowboard boot, suitable for beginner and intermediate riders and priced to match: $110. Black/Grey is the color of choice here and the sizes range from six to fifteen.
Book-ended by these two products, the rest of the range offers improved features (and additional cost) for riders whose needs are increased commensurately with their skill level. The Sabbath and FS LTD are limited edition boots available only at Coalition stores. Finally, for those snowboarders for whom convenience is of utmost importance, the two step-in models go for $220 and $150 (Haven and Moto, respectively).
