The Fundamentals Of Lamar Snowboard Helmets

There's a very good reason why professional and amateur snowboarders equip themselves with protective gear, not the least of which are snowboard helmets: It may look soft and plush, but the funny thing about snow is that, well, it really isn't. In fact, falling on snow can hurt, and doing so at any sort of speed... that really hurts. It is for this simple reason that impact protection gear is so vital. Moreover, with new designs and improved technology appearing in helmet design each season, it's becoming increasingly fashionable to be seen wearing one. And Lamar, like any self-respecting snowboarding concern, has a plethora of boards, boots, bindings and accessories available, not to mention helmets. There are four lines of lamar snowboard helmets, namely:

The Junior line consists of only a single Kids Black-colored helmet available in XS size only. It is ASTM 2040 certified. Designs vary only marginally from the 1000 on up to the 3000 model, and all boast such features as ASTM 2040 certification, removable ear flaps, and gloves-on TPU Goggle pull. Sizes run from S to XL. The Lamar 1000 range is available in black and silver colors, while the 2000 and 3000 line-ups come in white, black and gun-metal, among others. The Lamar 3000 helmet differs from the others in that it offers die-cut customizable padding that can be removed or inserted at whim.

While far from the most stylish snowboard helmet in existence, the Lamar series is very affordable, coming in at about $30 for the 1000 and becoming only marginally more expensive for the upper models. Around $40 for the Lamar 2000 helmet. Because of the trend towards creating multi-functional helmets, in other words, helmets that can be used for a variety of sports, it's not uncommon to see designs that are suitable for both skiing and snowboarding.

Which brings us to the lamar snowboard product links on your right, which are suitable for just about any snow-related sport known to man (and woman, ahem!). From bindings to helmets, clothes to snowboards, there's something for the snowboarder in all of us.
