GNU Snowboards are just one of the numerous products (including Roxy hardgoods and Lib Technologies snowboards) that are designed and built by Mervin Manufacturing, a company based in Seattle in the US. The gnu snowboards buy-ing brand -- all of which are hand-built -- encompasses no fewer than eight different lines:
The first, namely, Carbon High Beams, is also the best-selling line of GNU snow boards, offering exceptional freestyle performance in a highly affordable package. And for those boarders with big feet, the GNU Carbon Beam wides offer proven performance. The Riders Choice series is made up of sandwich construction with designs by Hampus Mosseson, Zach Leach, and Kyle Clancy. Designed by Barrett Christy, the BC Series features narrow waist widths specifically to fit womens' feet.
So too, the Temple Cummins, Mathieu Crepel, and Danny Kass boards feature geometries and designs the riders themselves are partial to. The Danny Kiss snowboards are also available in Kass Minis form; smaller sizes for the younger generation. The final line of GNU boards is also the most interesting. Altered Genetics boards feature cores that are crafted from genetically engineered trees; mutations of Aspen, Birch and Bamboo. Hailed as the world's most technically advanced snowboard core material, GNU Altered Genetics are among the lightest and strongest boards available.
Although not genetically altered, the links on the right-hand side of this page are plenty special, mostly because they can take you to the best-priced boarding equipment you're likely to find, from snowboards to winter clothing.
