If you were to take your dog for a walk, you wouldn't forget the leash, right? So, when you take your board for a ride, don't forget your snowboard accesories like your leash. Here's what you need to know about snowboard leashes.
A snowboard leash keeps you and your board together. This safety leash is intended to prevent your board from getting away from you when you're buckling or unbuckling your bindings.
The snowboard leash is attached to your boot and binding. When snowboarding, you want to make sure your leash is attached to your boot at all times. In addition, in some resorts and ski areas, if you don't have a snowboard leash, the lift attendant may not let you ride. A runaway snowboard could cause injury to others on the slope. In addition, some ski schools also require participants to have snowboard leashes for class.
There are a variety of snowboard leashes available and depending upon where you shop, you'll find leashes that range in cost, though many are affordable. The leashes' designs range from quite simple to those with popular logos and elaborate graphic designs.
Many snowboard leashes now include locks. The lock is built into the leash for convenience. The lock allows the user to set his or her own combination for extra security.
