It's a sure bet that no matter how popular your product is, when you give it as obscure a name as Denali, people are bound to mangle it, misunderstand it or just get it completely wrong altogether. Such is the case with North Face Fleece Dentalia. 'Huh?' You say. 'What the heck are you talking about?' Exactly. That's what I said when a friend of mine asked me that very question not all too long ago. Eventually, after a few minutes of back and forth, I discovered she was talking about Denali, The North Face's perennially popular fleece jacket range.
The premier fleece jacket manufactured by The North Face, the Denali range offers jackets and vests for men, women and children from as low (relatively speaking of course) as $79 to as high as $179 for top of the range Dentalia Thermal Fleece, uh, Denali that is. Darn it, now I'm saying it. It's all your fault, Julia. But I digress, you've come to learn all about the North Face Denali Fleece and so you shall. By leveraging the many wonderful properties of fleece (a 100% synthetic polyester fabric), The North Face Denali fleece are suitable for most cold weather situations, whether extreme hiking or simply going about your daily business.
The body of this North Face fleece garment is comprised of Polartec 300 fleece, while the abrasion areas (shoulders and elbows) are reinforced with laundered 2-ply Supplex nylon. The classic Denali jacket weighs approximately 727g, while the high-end Denali Thermal Jacket weighs in at only 539g. Incidentally, the women's Denali Thermal tips the scales at 505g. The classic variant offers a host of other color combinations such as Crew Blue and Wheat-t/Asphalt Grey among others. Other features of the Denali The North Face jacket range are elastic bound cuffs, two chest pockets (one horizontal right chest; one vertical left chest), hand pockets and zip-in integration with other compatible North Face snowboard apparel. By this, it means that you are able to zip the jacket into the inner zipper of a North Face shell and thereby create a single jacket suitable for pretty much all cold weather. Pit zips, something found only in higher end fleece jackets on the market (such as The North Face Denali range) allow body heat to dissipate from your armpits and other heat centres, thereby increasing ventilation to keep you warm yet comfortable throughout.
